BOULDER, Colo. 11th October 2005: Today Select Business Solutions announces a major product upgrade release to the Select Component Factory product which includes Select Component Architect, Select Component Manager, Select JSync and the Select Solution for MDA.
Select Business Solutions, a Gores Technology Group Company, has long been a major influencer and thought leader in the application development and software development process space. This release comes only weeks after the Computer Business Review article that named Select in the Top Ten Most Influential Application Development Vendors.
Select’s Business Process Modeling (BPM) solution brings the business and IT domains together. Companies can ensure that “The Right Systems are Built Right, First Time.” Select’s new BPMN (Business Process Modeling Notation) models and business simulator enable complex process models to be built in a non technical way by business users, ensuring that the analysts, designers and coders are always on target with the business goals and needs. Select’s support for the BPM CSC Catalyst notation will continue and will be strengthened by these new additions.
This release also sees a strengthening in the Select Component Architect database modeling techniques. Select has traditionally been strong in this area with its Select SE product. Now users of the Select Component Factory will have one tool to cover the whole modeling lifecycle. The database analysts will now be able to design and synchronize alongside the business analysts, designers and coders, enabling total systems design unity.
Select has also moved ahead in the Java code environments with support for J2EE and Struts by rearchitecting and rebuilding Select JSync. Select JSync now uses Eclipse Plug-ins, bringing modeling, quality assurance, software reuse and, of course, code synchronization into the IDE. This reengineered code synchronizer provides market leading Java code generation, synchronization and reverse engineering for all applications. Select JSync also helps you design and build new systems, rearchitect existing systems and migrate legacy applications.
