Select Business Solutions™ Offers Support for Microsoft Visual Studio 2005

E-mail

Trumbull, CT December 4 2006: Today Select Business Solutions, a market leader in process and software development tools, announced that its products have been extended to support Microsoft Visual Studio 2005.

Select Business Solutions is an active member of the Microsoft Visual Studio Industry Partner (VSIP) program, committed to supporting and developing leading edge application development and process tools that support Microsoft development technologies.

Select’s solution for Microsoft development technologies enables developers to be more productive through the modeling and design of systems before development of code. Select’s unique code synchronization tools enable developers to design, generate and synchronize Microsoft Visual C# 2005 and Visual Basic 2005 code to and from models more easily. Its flexibility improves time-to-market, increases staff productivity and enhances the quality of new applications.

Select’s tools also facilitate reuse of Microsoft Visual Studio 2005-based components and automate development. Select’s tools include a component reuse library through a multi-user web accessible repository, which can be configured to suit any geography of distributed developers.

To further help Microsoft Visual Studio developers, Select also provides a process development and rollout tool, Select Process Director. This tool enables software development process definition (or the import of existing process) which can then be deployed via Microsoft Office Project Server 2007 or a task list for individual users. Select Process Director is currently used successfully for compliance with standards such as CMMI and RUP.

“Our support for the Microsoft development tools enables our customers to meet the needs of their business, as they are able to design and build the right systems right. Through our Business Process Modeling Notation (BPMN), Business Process Modeling (BPM), Unified Modeling Language (UML) and database modeling capabilities, coupled with Visual Studio 2005 our customers deliver their systems faster and more cost effectively,” said Hedley Apperly, SVP and General Manager, Select Business Solutions.

“Microsoft is pleased to have ongoing commitment from Select Business Solutions to the integration of its tools with Visual Studio 2005,” said Jay Roxe, group product manager in the Developer Division at Microsoft Corp. “Its support complements Visual Studio to offer a more complete development platform that satisfies business and developer needs.”
