Strategic Business Modeling with the Business Motivation Model (1 day)
Through a combination of teaching and practical application, attendees will learn the principals behind the modeling of business strategy, and the specifics of doing so using the Business Motivation Model (BMM) from the OMG. A number of case study examples will be explored during the training and modeled using Select Architect, effectively building a company business plan during the course of the day.
Pre-requisites

- Some understanding of business planning and strategy

BPMN Patterns and Practices (1 day)
Business process modeling using the BPMN (business process modeling notation) has gained a reputation for its complexity. This training course aims to teach the notation and principles of business process modeling by examining a series of patterns for common process scenarios, and how they might be represented in BPMN. These patterns are then applied in a number of practical exercises using BPMN in Select Architect.

- Some experience of the modeling of process or data flow

UML Tool Workshop (1 day)
The Unified Modeling Language encompasses a wide range of techniques which should enable systems to be accurately and meaningfully represented in annotated diagrams. This one day training course provides an overview of the different techniques, and gives opportunity through a worked-through case study, to apply the techniques in Select Architect.

Business Driven UML (4 days)
Targeted at individuals who are new to Object Orientation (OO), the Unified Modeling Language (UML) and Case Tools, this training course teaches how to deliver business-aligned solutions using Select Business Solutions' Select Solution Factory. The course explains how to model business strategy using BMM, business processes using BPMN, the use of the UML for analysis and design, and data modeling to represent the physical implementation of data. It also provides practical exercises based on a realistic case study, enabling students to learn how to use Select Solution Factory to analyse and design a software solution using UML.

- Previous experience and/or awareness of software analysis, design, and implementation
It is advantageous for students to have some previous exposure to:
