Aonix Extend Java Support for Business Driven Component-Based Design and Development with Select Component Factory™ 3.0

The first fully integrated suite of tools enabling extensive support for Business Driven Component-Based Design and development and increased support for testing

BOULDER, Colorado, December 2, 2001 - Aonix, a member of the Gores Technology Group announces the General Availability of the extended Java enabled Select Component Factory 3.0.

Aonix and its market-leading product Select Component Factory 3.0 continues lead the IDC eBusiness application automation (EAA) market space (IDC 2001***). “EAA entails a business process–centric approach and the use of components that have been created by the tools vendor. These components can include APIs, system level drivers, and adapters.” (IDC 2001*).

Select Component Factory is a model-driven toolset that allows organizations to leverage component-based development and deliver systems that meet evolving business needs. The Select Component Factory 3.0 release includes updates to the following products; Select Enterprise®, Select Component Manager™, Select Jsync™ and Reviewer for Select Enterprise™.

Java Driven

Aonix’s Support for the Java environment has led the market with its groundbreaking Synchronization technology. Select Component Factory ensures application design and model are synchronized and immediately ready to support ongoing development, maintenance, enhancement and integration tasks. Both the model and code can be worked on in parallel, with simultaneous changes reconciled through unique visual synchronization.

Select Component Factory 3.0 now includes support for IBM Visual Age for Java 4, IBM® WebSphere® Studio Application Developer and Borland JBuilder 5. Select Component Factory 3.0 also includes continued support for Borland JBuilder 3.0, 3.5 and 4.0 and IBM VisualAge for Java 3.02 and 3.5 with its WebGain® VisualCafé™ and Mircosoft® Visual J++® Java Synchronizer.

Additional Select Component Factory Enhancements
To ensure full lifecylce support Select Component Factory 3.0 also now includes support for Mercury Interactive’s® Test Director® 7.0 as well as continued support for Mercury Interactives Test Director 6.x.
