BOULDER, Colorado, September 20th, 2002 — Aonix Corporation (a member of Gores Technology Group) today announced the release of Select XMLSync the groundbreaking extension to the industry leading Component-Based Modeling tool suite Select Component Factory. Aonix’s Select Business Solutions division has long been at the forefront of business systems design and development and this new release emphasizes the commitment to development of leading edge technology.

Select Business Solutions has seen XML (Extensible Markup Language) become the standard mechanism to pass data between organizations and architectural layers, with its rich extensibility and self-describing capabilities.

“The synchronization of XML will enable our customers to be able to visualize XML through UML notation and generate schemas at the touch of a button. This capability not only enables the architecture and the system design of XML to be achieved much more quickly it also improves the overall quality of the application” Hedley Apperly, VP Marketing and Development, explains.

“Whilst developing the technology we have been able to reverse many of the industry specific standard XML Schema such as RIXML (www.rixml.org) and IXRETAIL (www.nrf-arts.org). Select XMLSync quickly builds a UML diagram model of the classes, parameters and associations with the different schemas” Apperly continues. This allows developers to understand the relevant XML Schema and design/build applications that use them, more effectively.

Select Business Solutions has also extended its industry leading Select Component Manager™ technology to include the ability to document and publish XML Schema, linked to components.

Pricing and availability
Select XMLSync comes as standard within the Select Component Factory™ and Select Component Architect. Select Component Architect customers who have a current maintenance will receive Select XMLSync free of charge. Customers who are unsupported or who have Select Enterprise®, there will be a small upgrade charge.
