files. Additionally, a special remote shared database facility enables Reporter
NOMAD users to report from remote NOMAD databases on either z/VM or z/OS
environments.
This means you can analyze the total picture represented by your organization's
data. For example, you can look at data stored in VSAM files and IMS databases,
combine it with DB2 data, and manipulate it with Reporter NOMAD's powerful
facilities to get the complete information needed for critical decision-making.

NOMAD Schema |

Additionally, the Schema can contain one-word references to any group of

Data Types |

In addition to a full complement of alpha and
numeric data types, NOMAD has a variety of special, intelligent data types for
handling date, name, time and text. They provide a broad range of reporting
options that would otherwise require procedural coding to achieve.
For example, NOMAD's full support for DATE enables users to easily retrieve and
print dates in virtually any manner desired, without ever having to know how
they have been specified in the database. As a result of NOMAD's unique internal
representation of dates and time-valued data, date and datetime calculations are
handled easily in NOMAD without complex coding. |

requests and the finished report on the screen at the same time. Multiple
reports can also be viewed at once, for on-the-spot comparisons. |
