Automated Modeling & Architecture using the
Select Solution for MDA |

The Model Driven Architecture extends and automates the benefits already
provided by a model based approach to development by ensuring rapid
inclusion of emerging technologies, quicker time to market and increased
quality of IT Solutions. The Select Solution for MDA supports all MDA
models and provides the ability to capture templates that automate the
transformations between models and code. This program guides an
organization through the decision points of when and how best to adopt MDA.
It will demonstrate the benefits that can be achieved through MDA.
Practitioners will be guided in the usage of Select Solution for MDA to
implement the organization architectures and best practices as a set of
reusable templates.Solution Elements
The solution encompasses “just in time” training on the techniques and
tools required to implement all of the OMG’s recommended Model Driven
Architecture Principles. This begins with an “all stakeholder” QuickStart
Workshop that defines the MDA vision and aligns this to the organizational
objectives. The organization’s MDA Strategy is then defined, planned and
agreed in a further workshop. This is followed by a variable level of
consultancy to ensure that the MDA best practices and “lessons learned”
are embedded within the organization.
