Detailed Representations-Motivation
Zachman
Definition
"Rule
Specification"
This will be the
"out-of-context" specification of the business rules.
Select Perspective
The
output of this cell is meant by Zachman to be adequate for a
subcontractor to work with. Select
Perspective does not distinguish between in-house and
oytsourcing development because it recognises that there will be at least
two teams (logical or physical) involved; that which specifies and
integrates components (the Solution Team) and that which builds the
components (the Component Team). Therefore, whether the teams are
in-house or external, effective communication and documentation
processes must be in place.
Select Perspective recommends that all teams
have access to the models but where this is not possible, full
documentation be produced from the model.
Select Solution Factory
Use
the Select Document
Generator in Select
Architect and the
Reporting Wizard in
Select Asset Manager to
produce any necessary
documentation.
